Danny Bloodworth

Danny’s first experience with computers was in 1985 when he was a junior in high school. To get out of taking Calculus he signed up for a programming class and immediately fell in love with writing code. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served as an Avionics Technician. He troubleshot and repaired IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) systems down to a component level. After the Navy, Danny worked for a defense contractor that built radar systems. He spent 3 years as a Field Service Engineer traveling around the country diagnosing and repairing systems. While in this role, he worked closely with the software developers who were creating the code which powered the radar systems. During that time, he fell back in love with coding and decided to go back to college.

Danny attended Clayton State College for two and a half years before transferring to Georgia Tech. His degree of study was Computer Science. In his first year of college, he met his wife Tina. They married in 1994 and had a daughter, Hannah, in 1998 as he was finishing up his college career.  In those early years, he went to school full-time, worked full-time, and did his best to be a good husband and father. The company he worked for during college sold heavy-duty truck and trailer parts. Danny worked as the Director of Information Technology for 25 years with that same group of people and through three ownership changes. Throughout the time with this group, he not only managed the infrastructure of up to 14 locations, but also regularly created software to move the company forward. At it’s peak, the company had an annual gross revenue of nearly $70 million.

Danny was a partner in an IT company from 2000 to 2007 (Infinitechs, LLC) but closed the doors as the recession began to take it’s toll. He started DKB Consulting, Inc. the same year, but it remained a side business with little activity until 2019. In 2019, he left his former company and devoted himself full-time to making DKB Consulting a success. The plan from the beginning was to go back to what he loved doing: writing code. Along the way, some old colleagues needed IT support, so he started helping those companies with their managed services. When DKB’s customer base grew, Danny added a full-time employee in 2021 and worked with several independent contractors throughout DKB’s journey.

Danny grew up hunting and fishing and still loves to do both today. He played baseball or softball from the age of five years old until he turned forty years old. When his baseball days were behind him, he got serious about golf. He loves spending time with his family and friends, loves to sing, write music and lyrics, draw, and paint.
